Through & Through

#4 “Through Fates & Time” 2026

Acrylic on canvas

30 in x 30 in (76.2 cm x 76.2 cm)

The checkered road leads the Fool into the realm of the Fates. The Fates are depicted wearing eye masks, with horns pointing towards their respective times: Past — Golden, backwards-curved horns; Present — Lapis, bilateral horns; Future — Magenta, centered, upward-curved horns.

Past and Present pull open a scrying portal, giving the Fool a glimpse of the being he is becoming, springing from a lotus in the stars on his road of ascension.

Two dragons of Prima Materia (first matter), one being spirit and the other matter, have found flight and leapt to find new matter to transform and grow into stronger forces of cosmic nature — all while the Future waits on her compass platform for the moment to flow in any direction.

Across her way, a circle of dancing nymphs under an eclipse celebrate the celestial union of the Sun and Moon, as the Sun has given his light to the Moon so she may forever light the way of night.

A Tree of Life springs from a stone between two ways. Flanked by the checkered spheres, they are markers to the Fool that he is where he is meant to be.

To the center stands a totem of time, standing in solitude, counting each grain passed. On the left, we see an archangel, recently landed, traveling with his worlds on strings, keeping a divine connection to the spiritual and physical.

Ahead of him stands the Fountain of Youth, with the spheres of mind, body, and soul filling the basin below with eternal life, ready to give and take.

Life and Death push each other in a dance of balance and orbit between creation and destruction — as above, so below.

Bubble portals flow in throughout the space, setting opportunities ahead for the Fool to take on the journey across the universe.

The Fool will learn the simultaneous existence of past, present, and future; their relationships with life and death, creation and destruction; and the forces that tie them together across dimensions — in preparation to create his own space within the cosmic balance of nature.
